There is good news for gamers anticipating the next installment in The Legend of Zelda series.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Gearing Up for May Release

We informed you last week about the most anticipated productions by Japanese gamers. Topping the ranking was, naturally, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Well, as it turns out, is well on its way to its scheduled release next May. This is because the production has received an age classification from the ESRB.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gets ESRB classification

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom received an E10+ category with mentions of “fantasy violence” as well as “mildly suggestive themes” by the Entertainment Software Rating Board.

The Entertainment Software Rating Board is a US-Canadian organization responsible for rating content and setting age limits for computer games released in North America.

The mentioned age category of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is currently visible on the Nintendo online shop.

The classification is not yet displayed on the ESRB website, though, so we have not learned any additional details. However, it’s possible that Nintendo may decide to share more information about the production in the near future.

Lastly, we should remind you that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is headed exclusively for Nintendo Switch consoles. As announced, production is scheduled to debut on the said platform on May 12, 2023.
