Naughty Dog has been one of the most awarded studios in the history of PlayStation, due to the enormous quality that they usually give to their games.
The latest to land in the hand of the company was The Last of Us Part I, remake of the first installment of the series, but many are looking forward to the Californian studio to launch a completely new project on PS5.
The rumors suggest that it could be The Last of Us Part III, but the company of the footprint has not confirmed it officially, but already know the first details of the next project on which they are working.
The one in charge of making them known has been none other than Neil Druckmann, president of Naughty Dog, who gave an interview to the colleagues of The New Yorker on the occasion of the imminent premiere of The Last of Us series on HBO.
Druckmann also took the opportunity to give the first glimpses of the next project the company is embarking on. As he says, Naughty Dog’s next game will be structured like a TV series, which means that they will be using processes and techniques that have not been seen before in video games.
Druckmann also says that, on the other hand, he is working for the first time with a team of screenwriters to shape the narrative and the script of the story, though we do not know if it will finally be The Last of Us Part III or something completely new that will have nothing to do with what the studio has created so far.
Naughty Dog works on several projects simultaneously
Besides the fact that The Last of Us Part III may be in development, Naughty Dog is currently working on several projects, as Druckmann himself was in charge of making it known on Twitter, via one of the US company’s recruitment publications.
At the time there were three projects in which the studio was involved, so there were still two to be revealed, according to rumors, which included a new IP that would debut on PS5.
So, we’ll have to wait to see what Naughty Dog is working on and see how they can squeeze the potential of PS5, which they did with great success with previous Sony systems.
