An amendment to the controversial law that banned LGBT propaganda - including in video games - is now in effect in the country.

Russia has implemented what we reported to you in November. Starting yesterday, any books, movies and video games (and the like) that promote LGBT ideology will be banned from the national media in the Russian Federation. The modernized law was signed last Monday by President Vladimir Putin.

Violations of these laws carry fines ranging from 200 to 400 thousand rubles (about 14.2-28.5 thousand zlotys), according to the offenses of the individuals involved.

Furthermore, for organizations, such fines can be up to 5 million rubles, or over 357 thousand zlotys. A proposal, though, that repeated violations of this law should be handled as a criminal matter was rejected – just as it was that games containing violence and cruelty should be banned. editors have compiled a list (most likely incomplete) of the games covered by this law, which you can see them below:
