With the war in Ukraine significantly postponing work on STALKER 2, developers at GSC Game World failed to finish the game for this year, but things are apparently going well and the studio has just shared a new trailer for its game.

This footage is also expected to include gameplay snippets, in which we can see how the game has evolved since the last official footage, which was released more than a year and a half ago.

Several fresh pieces of information are also given away by the description of the trailer itself, which reveals that STALKER 2 is a game with a “huge, open world with no boundaries with a non-linear storyline.” This production is powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Although there were earlier reports of big problems with the game’s production and a postponement of the release date to as late as 2025, GSC Game World intends to release its latest title in 2023.

According to the studio, STALKER 2 is planned for release next year and the game will come to PC and Xbox Series X/S console. Also worth mentioning is that STALKER 2 is expected to be available on Xbox Game Pass on the day of its release.
