When Will Tekken 8 Be Released?

Katsuhiro Harada Hinted at a Possible Debut Date

When Will Tekken 8 Be Released?

Bandai Namco developers are following the approved plan and focusing on the next installment of the cult brawler Tekken 8. After recent presentations of the game and a reference to the topic during the Japanese publisher’s conference, enthusiasts of the brand have already floated speculations about the convenient timing of the production release.

Katsuhiro Harada also didn’t fail to address the question of the debut of the new Tekken. From the very first shots, the Tekken 8 arouses considerable excitement – and all thanks to the extremely polished visuals, which were prepared from scratch on the Unreal Engine 5 engine.

Brawling will be much more aggressive, will receive a new Heat system, which won’t be combined with Rage, and will get spectacular destruction. So when can we grab our pads in our paws and check out the results of the team’s work?

The release of Tekken 8 may be tentatively scheduled for as early as early 2024. At the recent North American Regional Finals, Katsuhiro Harada spoke of the importance of esports to Tekken, and acknowledged that it would be extremely auspicious if a tour to promote the new installment began during the upcoming EVO Japan (March/April of next year), culminating in an early 2024 debut.

While the statement may cause an accelerated heartbeat among fans of the genre, it appears that the vision presented by the Japanese will be possible only if everything works out in the developers’ favor.

An early 2024 release would be the most convenient scenario for the production finale. So, we’re left waiting for Bandai Namco’s official announcements.
