Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2023 to be held early in the year?

While Sony failed to provide its community with a big PlayStation Showcase event in 2022, with Microsoft putting together a similar presentation around E3 2022, it appears that the Redmond giant is already gearing up for another show of great caliber.

Based on the latest rumors, this event is set to take place earlier than even the previous two editions of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase.

Giant Bomb editor Jeff Grubb is of the opinion that Microsoft wants to get “2023 off to a good start,” and setting up a big presentation for the first quarter of 2023 would be the first major step in that direction.

What’s more important, insider stresses that the show is to be combined with the announcement of a new game from studio Tango Gameworks (creators of The Evil Within or Ghostwire: Tokyo), but that the production is to be of a smaller caliber (something like Pentiment).

The reporter does not give too many details, but he explains that he had the opportunity to “hear about the event.” Games such as Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Ark 2, Flintlock, Redfall, Starfield, Forza Motorsport and Minecraft Legends would likely be presented during it.

Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2023 early in the coming year makes sense due to the fact some of these items should be released before the holiday season, so the Xbox developers can’t afford to wait with a big show until around the next E3.
