Bob Odenkirk Is Coming Back to AMC With Lucky Hank

The AMC revealed the exact date of the premiere of the series “Lucky Hank,” previously known as “A Straight Man.” The leading role is played by “Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk. We have also received a new teaser.

This series will be a screen adaptation of a novel written by Richard Russo, published as “A Straight Man.” The story is about a certain William Henry Devereaux Junior, unlucky lecturer at a university in Pennsylvania.

The hero is accused of murdering a goose in one week, he gets punched in the nose by a feminist poet, is sent to the sobering station and then to the hospital.

“The author has created a protagonist who tames his unusual sense of humor and his awareness of the ever-present absurdity only because of his love for his wife and daughters, his loyalty to his friends and, finally, his knowledge of his own character,” the description of the novel by the Prószyński i S-ka publishing house reads.

Besides Odenkierk, cast members of the series adaptation include Mireille Enos, Alvina August, June Washington-Chen, Sara Amini, Diedrich Bader, Suzanne Cryer, Olivia Scott Welch, Arthur Keng and Cedric Yarbrough, among others.

“Discover the Magic of Sanctuary”: “Step into a world where witchcraft meets small-town drama in our Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale Review. See how AMC’s latest series blends the supernatural with gripping storytelling.”

The series is being produced by Mark Johnson, the producer of “Better Call Saul” and “Breaking Bad,” as well as Sony Pictures Television.

Aaron Zelman (“Investigation”) and Paul Lieberstein (known, among other things, for his role as Toby Flanderson in the American “The Office”) will write the script.

The two will also be showrunners of the series. Peter Farrelly, the creator of the Oscar-winning “Green Book,” will direct. The premiere will take place exactly on March 19 on AMC.
