Earlier today we got our first glimpse of the movie adapting Sony’s Gran Turismo saga. Included in the teaser are some behind-the-scenes footage showing how some of the movie scenes was made, such as filming the cars.
Also there are some quotes from the actors, include Orlando Bloom, who will be starring in the movie and promises us “vibrant sound” that will let us feel the races as if we were in the cars themselves.
It was also noted that the film will not focus only on the cars, but it will have “action, drama and a love story”.
The film will follow the story of Jann Mardenborough, a teenager Gran Turismo gamer whose skills led him to win championships and become a professional driver.
Head of PlayStation Productions, Asad Qizilbash, stated that “when we were thinking about adapting this IP to the big screen we wanted to carefully consider how to appeal to both fans of the games and new audiences, and with Gran Turismo, I think we have the elements to do both. It has an incredible, engaging story and this on-screen experience that gives us the same emotional journeys as video games and racing.”
