HBO Max is promoting January premieres: The Last of Us, Velma and much more

This first month of the new year will bring users of the SVOD platform from HBO more attractions. In its latest video, however, the company advertises upcoming novelties, notable among which is the TV series adaptation of Joel and Ellie’s adventures.

In the past year we have been closely following the changes taking place within the structures of Warner Bros. Discovery, of which there was a real buzz.

Besides numerous cuts and the cancellation of a number of productions, modifications did not bypass the DC cinematic universe, with new bosses, as well as the HBO Max service.

Company executives have announced that an expanded and long-term strategy would be announced in early 2023 , but already there is growing talk of getting rid of series such as “Raised by Wolves” and “Westworld” as well as making them available on other services. What, though, does January bring us on the HBO platform?

Without a doubt, for many gamers the most important offer, besides a number of games debuting in January, will be “The Last of Us” series.

Based on the iconic PlayStation series, this story features Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Anna Torv, Gabriel Luna, Nico Parker and Nick Offerman.

Not only assurances from the developers, but also from the first reviewers lead us to believe that the production is going to be a truly unique experience.

But what else can we look forward to? “Velma” is an animated series intended for a more mature audience, where we will learn the fate of one of the most important members of the Mystery Inc. – the series will present her interesting past.

At the end of the month there will be a season 2 finale of the returning series “Gossip Girl,” whereas sports enthusiasts will see programs focusing on climbing and American soccer.

It is worth mentioning that the material comes from HBO Max’s US account, so some of the added offerings may differ slightly.
