Apex Legends “Steals Money” via Gift System: Gamers Complain

Matchmaking is better because of this.

Apex Legends “Steals Money” via Gift System: Gamers Complain

Apex Legends begins the year with good news and bad news. The system for sending gifts still doesn’t seem to work well and is accused of “stealing money,” while the matchmaking has been refined to level the playing field in matches.

To start with the first issue: a solution introduced in the 15th season of matchmaking in the free battle royale has disappointed many users.

The purpose is to buy skins and other cosmetic items for friends, but it appears that gifts sometimes do not reach the recipients.

One of the victims describes on Reddit that after the fiasco with sending a skin for Pathfinder and waiting a whole month, they tried with another, less expensive item.

This one also didn’t make it, though the virtual currency was obviously deducted from his account. “It’s absolutely crazy that they’re stealing money,” – he wrote.

The comments are not lacking in support. “I don’t know why there isn’t a class action lawsuit yet. It’s been months and they haven’t gotten around to it yet.” – comments another Apex Legends fan.

Developers have taken to experimenting with the gameplay creation system, as shown off on Twitter. Here, results were much better, as shown by the chart below – More players recorded a kill, meaning better fun.

The subject of unfair – in the opinion of players – matchmaking has also been a point of contention among the Apex Legends community in recent times, so any fixes in this aspect will probably be welcome.

“During the holidays we conducted matchmaking tests in one of the regions to create better balanced matches. We see positive results, as more players are able to kill someone (pink line on the graph),” – one wrote.

It is not clear at this time if and when a similar solution would become standard on all servers. What do you think about all this? Let us know in the comments section below.
