Mundfish’s first-person shooter Atomic Heart, launching on consoles, PC and Xbox Game Pass on February 21, has been one of the first games to support Nvidia DLSS 3.

For that reason, it was among the titles featured in Nvidia’s Special Address at CES 2023, where a gameplay that showcases the latest technical advances and performance on GeForce RTX was unveiled.

Ray-traced lighting enhances the realism of a very eye-catching game, giving a more natural finish to metallic surfaces or water.

Atomic Heart also highlights the particle effects of the different skills of our protagonist or the weapons of our enemies; its gameplay action at breakneck speed ensures that it will be a spectacle to behold.

This adventure’s story takes place in an alternate version of the Soviet Union in the 1950s, where robotics and other advanced technologies were developed during World War II.

“This world shares the same ideals that today’s humans strive for: a happy society, the power of science, perfect cities with green and sunny squares and parks, the automation of everyday tasks, the desire to explore the stars…. All of this could soon become reality. But look at the dark side of this ideal world: what would happen if all this were already real? Where would it lead us?” his description reads.

Atomic Heart’s future is not exactly idyllic, hence it is often compared to the BioShock saga. The robots designed to assist humans have rebelled against their creators, including some secret experiments have led to the appearance of terrifying mutants.

Their mission will be interrupted by gigantic machines, gory creatures and many more obstacles. The soundtrack features Mick Gordon, composer of Doom who also participated in other id Software games, like Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
