Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Could Be Getting Microtransactions

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is scheduled to debut in 2023 or early 2024, but as of yet we have not learned the publisher’s final plans.

The game might receive micropayments, because the company is looking for a specialist to take care of the Swedish studio’s projects.

The Massive Entertainment officially works on two productions – Ubisoft’s first title in the Star Wars universe and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

The studio’s plans don’t end there, however, as the search for an employee to handle “3 Ubisoft projects” continues.

The newest job offer is for a monetization specialist – the new person hired is expected to “contribute to the financial success” of the titles, but will also “shape strategies that increase profitability while respecting players and the essence of each game.”

The new hire will not be assigned to a single game, as the Live Revenues strategy department (console and PC games) looks after the Swedish studio’s various projects – their job is to “generate additional revenue in the most possible, fair and valuable way.”

The ad is not short of references to additional items in the store, the overall monetization system and live events. An employee will be responsible for working with the monetization director in an effort to create a strategy “in line with player expectations, creative direction and games.”

Ubisoft want the trained specialist to plan and oversee content, handle offers and promotions of the main and supplementary store, as well as liaise with digital sales teams.

Moreover, his duties will include implementing monetization systems and functions with those responsible for UI, UX and programming.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be in the market within the next several months, though so far Ubisoft has not announced details.

It’s likely that a new employee will handle the game’s post-release support, though the developers have not currently commented on the title’s future.
