The Callisto Protocol Costed Hefty Millions and Didn't Meet Expectations

The Callisto Protocol was a highly-anticipated production that promised to be a chilling horror film that would leave audiences on the edge of their seats. But as it turned out, the final product was not quite as mind-blowing as fans had hoped. Despite finding its audience, there were also many voices that criticized the film for not living up to expectations.

However, the real shocker came when it was revealed that KRAFTON, the publisher behind the film, had paid a whopping 162 million dollars to produce the game by Striking Distance Studios.

And unfortunately, it seems that this investment may not have been worth it. According to recent reports, the game has not met sales expectations and is far from breaking even.

The initial goal was to sell five million copies of the game, which, considering the genre and the fact that it was a new brand, seemed like a lofty goal.

But now, it seems that the game will only be able to reach a maximum of two million copies sold this year.

This is a far cry from the initial plans and it’s hard to imagine that the publisher will be able to recoup their investment. And it’s safe to say that the chances of a sequel or a high-budget continuation are slim to none.
