Rumor: Release Date of Forza Motorsport Has Been Delayed Internally!

Microsoft finally showed a lot of scenes from the new Forza Motorsport during the Developer_Direct, but failed to provide a release date. This could have a very specific reason, according to an insider.

Rumor: Release Date of Forza Motorsport Has Been Delayed Internally!

When Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios presented Forza Motorsport at Developer_Direct last week, they did not provide a release date or even a rough release timeframe.

This has led to speculation that there may be negative news behind the delay. Insider Jeff Grub, known for his well-informed statements, recently shared his thoughts on the matter on his YouTube channel Game Mess.

According to Grub, the game has been internally moved back significantly, with developers now aiming for a release in 2023.

Specifically, Grub has heard that the third quarter of 2023 is a possible, internally named period for release. This means that a release between July and September is a possibility, but it could also be even later. In fact, Grub suggests that Forza Motorsport may not be released until Christmas 2023.

The reboot of the long-running racing franchise, which dates back to 2005, aims to take the brand to a new level thanks to the new generation of consoles and also score points with a huge scope.

The presentation video from this week’s Developer_Direct, which is approximately seven minutes long, can be viewed online. Forza Motorsport is currently planned for release on PC and Xbox Series X/S in 2023.
