Gothic Remake Still Has No Release Date

Could this mean that the game will not be released in 2023?

Gothic Remake Still Has No Release Date

The development of the Gothic Remake is underway and fans of the original game are eagerly waiting for updates on the project. Recently, the concept art of a mole rat was presented, giving a glimpse into the progress of the game.

Players are eager for information about the title, and the music composer of the game, Kai Rosenkranz, was able to answer some of their questions.

Preorders for the game have also begun, and while there are approximate release dates available online, it’s important to note that these are just placeholders and the official release date has not been announced yet.

As of now, the developer, THQ Nordic, and the publisher, Alkimia Interactive, have not confirmed a specific release date for the Gothic Remake.

The FAQ on the Gothic Community discord server was updated, stating that “at the moment there is no planned release date.

It will be announced when the developer and publisher are 100% sure about it.” Similarly, the price of the game has not been revealed yet, with only a “will be available soon” tag in place of an actual price on platforms such as Steam.

The updated FAQ confirms what we already know about the game – it will be developed on Unreal Engine 4, has no connection to the trial version that was released in 2019, and will be as close as possible to the original game in terms of character behavior and combat system.

The developers have also expressed their intention to bring back the original voice actors if possible, though some of them have passed away.
