Gran Turismo 7 VR Has Been Announced as a PS VR2 Launch Title

At CES Las Vegas, the president of PlayStation, Jim Ryan, has revealed that PlayStation VR 2, the enhanced version of Sony’s virtual reality headset that will come out for PlayStation 5, has 30 launch games.

We got a glimpse of two of them today. The first one is a version of the rhythm game, Beat Saber; the second one is a virtual reality version of Gran Turismo 7.

Gran Turismo 7 VR version will not be a parallel release but a free update that owners of the headset can add to the game if they already have the base title. We could also see the first images of the game:

Last year, Sony assured that PlayStation VR2 would launch with “at least 20 games”, but now the figure has risen to 30. You can check out some of the titles that have been announced, such as Horizon: Call of the Mountain or The Dark Pictures.

The PlayStation VR2 will be released on February 22, 2023, at the price of $632. At the launch, there will be also the possibility to buy a $685 pack that includes, besides, a redeemable code for a copy of Horizon: Call of the Mountain. A charging station for the controllers will also be sold separately for $52.
