Hogwarts Legacy New Video: We’ll Get To Know Ancestor of Sirius Black in the Game

The release of Hogwarts Legacy is eagerly awaited by a whole lot of gamers, as evidenced by the preorder results achieved by the said production on Steam.

And yesterday the developers from Avalanche Software released new promotional material, where they decided to introduce the character of Phineas Nigellus Black – headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and ancestor of Sirius Black.

Phineas Nigellus Black should be well known to fans of both the books and films about the adventures of Harry Potter.

Simon Pegg plays the role of the headmaster of Hogwarts

Indeed, a portrait of the former headmaster of Hogwarts hung, inter alia, in the study of Albus Dumbledore, who used his predecessor and, via him, passed information to Sirius and Harry at 12 Grimmauld Place, where a painting with Phineas’ likeness was also located.

However, Phineas Nigellus Black in Hogwarts Legacy is played by Simon Pegg, the British actor, comedian, screenwriter and film director, who viewers may associate, for instance, with his role as Benjie Dunn from Mission Impossible.

Pegg also appeared in such productions as Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Player One and Rise of the Living Dead, among others.

Meanwhile, in his latest Hogwarts Legacy footage, this actor talks about the character of Phineas Nigellus Black, who Pegg insists was the least liked headmaster in the history of Hogwarts.

Video also includes a few shots showcasing Avalanche Software’s upcoming production, so take a look at them and see how the title looks less than a month before its release.

Lastly, recall that Hogwarts Legacy will make its debut on PC and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles on February 10 (Deluxe edition owners can start playing 3 days earlier).

According to earlier announcements, the game will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 4, and on Nintendo Switch the title won’t arrive until July 25.
