Work on the online installment of the Horizon series was officially confirmed in mid-December of last year, and this week it was announced that the co-creators of Hogwarts Legacy and Redfall will be joining the development team at Guerrilla Games to help bring the Horizon universe to life.
While we wait for more information about the release date, fragments of gameplay from an early online version of the game have recently surfaced on the internet.
According to the information provided, the leaked gameplay footage is believed to have come from an alpha version of the game that was in development in 2020.
It’s worth noting that the footage represents a rough state of production and should not be considered representative of the final product. However, it does give us a glimpse into the direction that Guerrilla Games is taking with the game.
One thing that stands out in the leaked footage is the graphic style, which appears to lean towards a more cartoonish and comic-like style, similar to that of Fortnite. Additionally, the footage reveals several character models, suggesting that players will have the option to select from different skins.

The footage also showcases various machines that should be familiar to fans of the series, as they are modeled after those from Aloy’s adventures.
At this time, Guerrilla Games has not yet announced when we can expect the online installment of the Horizon series to be released. Fans of the brand will have to be patient and wait for more information and materials to be revealed from the development team.
