Will PlayStation 5 Break in Vertical Position?

Panic spread among PlayStation 5 owners a few days ago due to some claims by a French store that the console in the upright position is prone to possible damage from liquid metal spillage. As it turns out, though, the whole thing stemmed from a misunderstanding.

Wololo, the website that first reported the news after reading the transalpine store’s statements, updated the content specifying that there had been a misunderstanding.

As per the news update, according to what was written, this French shop was talking about damage suffered by consoles that had previously been opened by other non-specialized technicians.

In essence, There is no risk that a ‘normal’ console could be damaged simply by standing upright, provided there is not some kind of defect related to the assembly.

It is not clear whether the portal’s return to these claims is actually due to a desire to clarify or whether this is a way of running for cover following the insights published by experts over the past few days, which have amply demonstrated how it is impossible for a console without factory defects to be subject to such issues.

Indeed, by analyzing the structure of the console, one can see as many as 4 layers of protection that Sony technicians have implemented with the goal of preventing the leakage of the substance and the consequent damage to other electronic components.
