Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse To Have a Physical Release

A new hit remaster will come to Nintendo Switch in March.

Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse To Have a Physical Release

Project Zero/Fatal Frame series is getting a second youth. A publisher is regularly betting on re-releases of the acclaimed Asian horror series based on confronting ghosts.

Another remaster, Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, which tells the story of three teenagers returning to a mysterious island to solve the mystery of their friends’ deaths, will hit Nintendo Switch on March 22.

Tecmo Koei, known for frequent re-releases, is no different this time. Originally, it was announced that the game will only be released digitally, though not in all regions.

Instead, this game will be released in a boxed version in Asia. However, to fans who appreciate the game’s presence on the shelf, the Asian market release will support an English cinematic language version, thus interested players will have to import the title from Asia.

Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a refresh of the base version of the game released in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii.

It’s the next installment after Project Zero: Maiden of the Black Water, which is coming to Nintendo Switch in a streamlined version.

If you preorder the title before March 22, you’ll receive an additional outfit from the Dead or Alive series, which will dress the main character, Ruka.

It has not been confirmed at the moment whether the boxed version will get codes for Deluxe Edition content (digital artbook, soundtrack and Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party character skins).

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a survival horror video game developed and published by Koei Tecmo for the Wii console. It was released in Japan in 2008 and later released in other regions in 2009.

The game is set on a haunted island where a group of people have become trapped, and players must use a camera called the “Camera Obscura” to defeat ghosts and uncover the island’s secrets.

One of the unique features of the game is its use of the Wii Remote, which serves as the Camera Obscura. Players must use the Wii Remote to aim the camera at ghosts and capture them on film in order to defeat them. The game received praise for its atmosphere and use of the Wii Remote, but it was also criticized for its short length and repetitive gameplay.
