Bethesda’s Busy Schedule: Redfall and Starfield Might Debut Close to Each Other

The upcoming shooter game Redfall is reportedly planned for May, whereas Bethesda reiterated that Starfield will be released later in the first half of the year, meaning by the end of June at the latest. Both titles may thus debut very close to each other.

We released an article bout the case of Arkane Games studio’s production a few days ago. The reports talking about May are unofficial, but come from a reliable source – Windows Central. Specifically, the reference is reportedly to the first week of this month, and the deadline is the result of an internal delay.

In the meantime, the official Starfield support site yesterday reached an update. “When is the release date?” – one of the tiles proclaims. After clicking, we find out that the title will be released – exclusively for PC and Xbox Series X/S – in the first half of the year.

But couldn’t one assume, for instance, Starfield will be released first and Redfall only later? Oh, you can’t, since the order of release was explained by Xbox Games Studios Head Matt Booty back in November.

– We also have Redfall from Arkane, and looking further on the calendar there is also Starfield,” the manager said, revealing the order in which these two upcoming games from Bethesda Softworks will be released.

Two releases from one publisher in such a short interval will probably not be an ideal situation. The two titles have already been postponed, with Microsoft in particular likely to want to finally publish its first megahit from Bethesda, yet further changes in future plans cannot be ruled out.
