Street Fighter 6 Adds Thea Trinidad (WWE’s Zelina Vega) as a Commentator

Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 is a highly anticipated fighting game that is aimed at returning the franchise to its glory days of Street Fighter 2. The game is scheduled to be launched on June 2, and to build up excitement, the developers have been gradually releasing information about the game. Today, they have revealed new gameplay featuring a special guest from the world of wrestling.

Wrestler Thea Trinidad, also known as Zelina Vega, will lend her voice and personality to Street Fighter 6’s real-time commentary feature. This new addition to the game allows players to hear comments during the gameplay, much like in many sports games.

The commentary will be in English and will react to what is happening in real-time. Trinidad has expressed her excitement at being a part of this legendary franchise, calling it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Trinidad is not the only commentator in Street Fighter 6, as other voices include Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez, Aru, James Chen, Tasty Steve, Kosuke Hiraiwa, and Demon Kakka, the vocalist for the Japanese metal band Sekima-II.

Juri, one of the starting 18 characters in Street Fighter 6, is Trinidad’s favorite character from the franchise, and she has shown her love for the character by appearing as Juri in a recent WWE match.

For many players, especially those who missed out on Street Fighter V, which was exclusive to the PS4 on consoles, Street Fighter 6 may be their introduction to the series.

The game will have a “button masher” dynamic control system, making it easier for beginners to start playing without knowing all the combos. Street Fighter 6 will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on June 2.
