The Day Before Faces a Long Delay, the Game Is Gone From Steam

The release of the highly-anticipated game, The Day Before, has been delayed yet again. Originally set to debut on computers on March 1, the game will now go on sale on November 10, 2023 at the earliest. In addition, the production has also been removed from Steam, causing confusion and concern among players.

The Fntastic studio, the developers behind The Day Before, have released a statement on Twitter addressing the delay and removal from Steam.

They explain that the removal from Steam was due to a system error caused by Valve’s maintenance of the platform, but they have devoted more attention to the matter to ensure it does not happen again.

However, some players are questioning why the developers did not register the trademark for the game before announcing it, as it was first announced two years ago. The studio has yet to comment on this topic.

The game’s original debut date was set for June 21, 2022, but was then pushed back to March 1, 2023, only one month before its planned premiere.

Now, the debut date has been pushed back yet again to November 10, 2023, causing disappointment among fans, especially since a developer had promised to show a long fragment of the game in January. The studio is currently consulting with lawyers and has advised fans to be patient and wait for further developments.

The Day Before was also set to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X in 2024, but it is unclear if this schedule will also be affected by the delay. Before being removed from Steam, The Day Before was one of the most highly-anticipated games on the platform.

Fntastic studio is a Russian-based company that has since moved to Singapore with the help of volunteers from all over the world, including the Netherlands and Thailand. The studio was originally founded in Yakutia, Russia.
