Ubisoft’s New Game Coming Later This Month, It Is a Sequel to Valiant Hearts

Valiant Hearts: Coming Home, the highly-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed adventure game from 2014, has finally been given a release date. The game was announced during last year’s The Game Awards gala and will be available exclusively on Netflix starting January 31st.

According to Pocketgamer, the game’s story takes place during the Great War and features the return of some beloved characters from the first installment, such as American volunteer Freddie, Belgian paramedic Anna and the lovable dog Walt.

However, players will also be introduced to a new cast of characters, including American James, who is trying to prove himself to his family, German sailor Ernst and British pilot George.

One of the main focuses of the game will be the Harlem Hellfighters unit, which was the first American infantry formation composed entirely of people of African-American descent. The game will showcase the unit’s bravery and how they helped to break down racial barriers both in the United States and abroad.

The developers of the first installment, Ubisoft Montpellier, are once again at the helm of the game’s production, ensuring that players can expect a similar story, graphic style and puzzle design as the first game.

As with its predecessor, players can expect to encounter intense arcade sequences and a variety of items to discover, as well as historical studies on various topics.

It is worth noting that the first installment of the series followed the adventures of four individuals whose lives were intertwined in the trenches of the First World War.

Players got to know the fate of Frenchman Emile and his German son-in-law Karl, who were conscripted into opposing armies, as well as American volunteer Freddie and nurse Anna, who worked tirelessly to help all wounded soldiers, regardless of their nationality.
