Will Ubisoft Surprise With Star Wars Game? Insider Speaks of a Huge Universe To Explore

Latest leaks suggest that Ubisoft Massive’s untitled game set in the Star Wars universe would offer a fully open world that can be navigated seamlessly like in No Man’s Sky.

According to Insider Gaming, the new Star Wars game being developed by Ubisoft is going to offer an open universe in that players will be able to jump freely between different systems and take part in a variety of activities in the vast galaxy.

Most probably, the world scale and the number of available planets will not match No Man’s Sky, but will still be impressive.

The insiders also report that it will be possible to create your own character from scratch, and that the story told in the game will be long and multithreaded. If reports are confirmed, we’ll get one of the most open-ended games in the Star Wars universe, as fans have been hoping for for many years.

Previously, Ubisoft’s creative director published a post on Twitter, where he revealed some information about the unnamed production (the post has already been deleted).

We know, inter alia, that the game will be built on the Snowdrop Engine, the engine known, for instance, for The Division 2.

There has also been talk of a potential release this year, but chances of that are slim, as Massive Entertainment studio is currently working on the game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which is scheduled for release in 2023 or 2024.

However, most likely we shall hear more about the ambitious production in the Star Wars universe in the coming months.
