Xbox To Get a New Controller Pad With OLED Display

From the Asus company.

ROG Raikiri Pro is an unusual controller for Xbox consoles which has been unveiled today. While it offers a classic button layout, it stands out with a small OLED display on top.

Also innovative is the fact that it is the first licensed device for Microsoft hardware to boast “tri-connectivity,” as a triad of options is referred to: Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz RF and standard USB-C.

That should especially appeal to those who want to use the controller on other supported systems. For we are talking not only about Xbox consoles, but also about PCs, Smartphones or even advanced TVs.

The OLED screen mentioned above is a tiny 1.3-inch display that will show prepared animations, complete with information on battery status, the connected microphone, active settings profile and so on.

Plus a suite of capabilities familiar from the Elite pads: additional programmable buttons on the back, changeable trigger travel, and so on.

A poorer ROG Raikiri model is also planned, devoid of a display, working only via cable and with fewer buttons on the back.

The equipment does not yet have a release date, but it should debut in the current quarter. A price has not been announced for this Xbox controller yet.
