Search Engine War: Bing Intends To Battle Google Using AI

Will $1 billion investment eventually pay off?

A sophisticated AI-based chatbot that could provide complex answers to questions from the Bing search engine. This new solution is about to be added by Microsoft, which may be able to fight back against Google’s dominance.

Microsoft has given $1 billion to OpenAI to help develop artificial intelligence technology. Additionally, the long-standing partnership between the two parties is also built on the use of the cloud-based platform, Azure.

And now The Information is reporting on one way to make a return on investment, and more specifically, to implement technology developed by OpenAI into the Internet search engine Bing.

A ChatGPT chatbot implementation into Bing would be scheduled for March of this year, which would allow the chatbot to better understand the questions that users are asking (especially complex and open-ended ones) and to give more compelling answers.

The whole thing comes down to the fact that ChatGPT, which relies on artificial intelligence algorithms, is able to give long answers that sound almost as if a human would write them.

In this way, Microsoft could enhance the display of results in Bing and possibly attract more users from rival Google.
