David Harbour Reveals His Thoughts on the End of Stranger Things: “It’s Time to Move On”

Star Discusses the Bittersweet Feelings of Leaving the Hit Netflix Series Behind.

Stranger Things

Stranger Things has been a cultural phenomenon since it first premiered on Netflix, but all good things must come to an end. The Duffer brothers announced last year that the fifth season would be the last, and it seems that the cast is already preparing to say goodbye.

In a recent interview with Discussing Film, star David Harbour, who has played Jim Hopper since the first season, shared his thoughts on the series coming to a close. While he initially never wanted the show to end, he now feels that it’s time to move on.

“It’s time for us to leave that nest and try other things and different projects,” Harbour said. “And let the Duffer brothers try different things too. They’re very talented. I want to see what they come up with next. So it’s all bittersweet, but definitely It’s time.”

Harbour also discussed the responsibility that the Duffer brothers have taken in telling Hopper’s story and bringing it to a close in a satisfying way. Fans were shocked when Hopper appeared to die at the end of season three, but he made a triumphant return in season four.
