House of the Dragon Season 2 to Premiere in 2024!

Brace yourself for more Targaryen family drama, as HBO Max confirms the release of House of the Dragon season 2 in 2024, according to CEO Casey Bloys.

House of the Dragon

If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones and haven’t been living under a rock, you’ve probably already heard of House of the Dragon.

This prequel series, set almost 200 years before the original, has been making waves since its debut on HBO Max. With each episode, it’s getting better and better.

With the show’s impressive cast, including Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Milly Alcock, Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Ifans, Olivia Cooke, Emily Carey, and Steve Toussaint, it’s no surprise that House of the Dragon has been gaining so much traction.

Created by Ryan Condal and George RR Martin, the show’s plot revolves around the Targaryen family’s fight for power.

Now, the big question on everyone’s mind is, when will season 2 be out? While filming for season 2 will start soon, it’s going to take some time before we can watch it. According to one of the show’s main actors, it could take at least eight months to complete.

Thankfully, we now have confirmation from HBO Max CEO Casey Bloys that season 2 will indeed be coming to our screens, but not until 2024.

While we don’t know the exact premiere date yet, Bloys states that it’s a “good assumption” that the show won’t be eligible for the 2024 Emmy season, which means we’ll probably have to wait until at least the summer of 2024 to see it.

So, mark your calendars and get ready to return to the world of Westeros with House of the Dragon season 2. With more dragon fire and Targaryen family drama on the way, it’s sure to be worth the wait.
