Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Last Update Drops Today

Ubisoft bids adieu to the Viking saga with the final patch.

Are you ready to say goodbye to your Norse warrior? After more than two years of battling through the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft is finally pulling the plug on their Viking saga. Today marks the release of the last update, signifying the end of the title support.

But before you go, make sure to download the final patch, version 1.7.0, which will be available at 13:00 PT. The size of the update varies depending on your platform, with Xbox Series X/S owners having to make the most space, as the update requires a whopping 15.1 gigabytes of storage.

What can you expect from this last update? According to the patch notes, the development team has fixed a total of 14 bugs, mostly minor glitches related to individual tasks and actions within the game world. It’s not much, but it’s a final farewell to ensure the game runs smoothly until the end.

With the end of Valhalla, Ubisoft sets its sights on the next installment in the series, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This new game is said to be a return to the roots of the franchise, with a smaller world and a focus on stealth and action-adventure gameplay. The game will take place in 9th century Baghdad, bringing a new era to the franchise.

But that’s not all. Ubisoft has big plans for the Assassin’s Creed series, with a total of six titles in the works. According to their new strategy, they will be creating smaller installments of the series, catering to fans of various genres.

Alongside Mirage, fans can also look forward to Assassin’s Creed Jade, a mobile RPG set in ancient China, Assassin’s Creed Red, an RPG set in feudal Japan, and the mysterious Assassin’s Creed Hexe.

So, while it’s time to bid farewell to Valhalla, there’s plenty to look forward to in the world of Assassin’s Creed. Get ready for new adventures, new worlds, and new ways to experience this beloved franchise.
