New Update for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate – Bug Fix Arrives 7 Years After Release

Ubisoft releases patch to address frustrating shadow flickering issue on PS5.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Are you a fan of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate but found the shadow flickering issue on PS5 to be a major distraction? You’re not alone. Luckily, Ubisoft has finally released a patch to address the bug, more than 7 years after the game’s initial release.

Initially, the game was not supposed to work on PS5 at all, but Ubisoft decided to release a patch to make it compatible.

Unfortunately, this introduced a bothersome bug that caused shadows to flicker on the screen, ruining the aesthetics of the game.

Finally, after two years of waiting, the long-awaited patch 1.53 has arrived to fix the flickering shadows issue.

While it doesn’t add any new features or introduce 60fps support, it’s a relief to know that Ubisoft still cares about improving the player experience for fans of their classic games.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is set in Victorian London and is the last of the “classic” installments of the series. Despite receiving mixed reviews at launch, the game is still considered an enjoyable production in its own right.

Although the game has not received a native PS5 version, it can still be played on PS4 via backwards compatibility. The shadow flickering issue was only present on the latest Sony console, causing many players to abandon the game altogether.

Thankfully, with the new patch, players can now fully immerse themselves in the world of the Frye twins without any distracting glitches.

So if you’re a fan of the series, it’s time to dust off your copy of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and dive back into the world of Victorian London.
