Redfall Needs a Constant Connection to Servers Even When Playing Single-Player

Arkane Studios has built a reputation for crafting rich and immersive story-driven experiences. However, the upcoming Redfall may not live up to expectations for some players, as it has been revealed that an internet connection will be required for both single player and co-op play.

During the recent Xbox Developer Direct, gamers were treated to a glimpse of Redfall through gameplay footage and a confirmed release date.

While the presentation may have generated excitement among players, the recent news of Redfall’s online requirement has left some feeling disappointed.

According to the updated FAQ on Bethesda’s website, Redfall will require a persistent internet connection. This means that progress will likely be saved on servers, allowing the developers to have constant access to player information.

However, this will be a problem for those who prefer to play offline, especially in areas where a constant connection is not feasible.

Redfall is set to be released exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the option of four-player co-op. While the co-op feature is optional, the mandatory online requirement for single player play may leave some players feeling let down.
