Blade fans, get excited! The highly anticipated Blade movie is set to start shooting in just two months. According to the Film & Television Industry Alliance website, the cast will be on set from May 1, 2023, until the fall, with post-production work following shortly after.

While details about the plot are still scarce, rumors suggest that the action might take us back in time to the 1920s, nearly a century before the current events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For those unfamiliar with the comics, Blade is an immortal half-vampire who hunts his own kind at night, and the upcoming movie promises to be just as thrilling and action-packed as its predecessors.

The talented Oscar winner, Mahershala Ali, will portray the iconic role of Blade, previously played by Wesley Snipes in a movie trilogy. Fans can expect to see Blade make future appearances in the Marvel Universe, as he already made a cameo in the post-credits scene of Eternals.

Directed by Yann Demange (Lovecraft Country) and with a screenplay by Michael Starrbury, Blade is set to release on September 6, 2024, marking the end of the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As one of the most anticipated films of the year, fans can look forward to an epic adventure with Blade and a glimpse into the past of the Marvel Universe.
