Bloober Team President Assures Fans of Konami’s Competence in Developing Silent Hill Games

In recent months, fans of the Silent Hill series have been both excited and anxious about the numerous announcements related to the cult horror franchise. Many concerns were raised due to the brand’s owner, Konami, whose recent actions and decisions have left fans worried about the quality of the upcoming games.

However, Piotr Babieno, the president of Bloober Team, the studio responsible for the Silent Hill 2 Remake, has come forward to address these concerns.

During an interview with IGN, Babieno sought to reassure fans that the right people are currently working at Konami. Although he could not reveal any details, Babieno claims that the team in charge of Konami Gaming understands how games work and has worked on many great productions.

He believes that they are making the right choices when it comes to partners and future projects. Babieno acknowledges that fans are still upset about Konami’s past actions but urges them to trust the current leadership.

The recent flood of announcements has raised concerns that Konami intends to prioritize profits over quality, leading to a potential decline in the quality of the games.

However, Babieno assures fans that they should not worry because the games department is managed by the right people who know their business and will ensure that fans are satisfied.

Fans’ concerns about Konami stem from the company’s shift towards mobile game production and investments in NFTs, almost completely abandoning the publishing of large games.

This shift led to a perceived lack of respect for iconic brands such as Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid, which were relegated to the level of decorations for gambling machines.

Despite this, Babieno believes that the future looks brighter for the series and encourages fans to put the past behind them and trust the current leadership of Konami.
