Hogwarts Legacy Sequel May Include Unused Material of the First Part

Fans eagerly anticipate what the future holds for the franchise.

Hogwarts Legacy

It’s no secret that Hogwarts Legacy has been a massive success both in terms of critical acclaim and sales. As fans eagerly anticipate what the future holds for the franchise, Warner Bros. has already hinted at plans for a sequel that may incorporate some of the content that didn’t make it into the first game.

One notable absence from Hogwarts Legacy was the lack of Quidditch, the magical sport beloved by fans of the Harry Potter universe.

While the reason for this omission has been explained, it could make a comeback as a new feature in the sequel. However, it seems that the mod community has discovered even more content that was removed from the game for unknown reasons.

Recent findings from the modding community suggest that Hogwarts Legacy may have originally included companion NPCs to aid players on their journey.

Although the game does include several relevant student characters from the four Hogwarts houses, Sebastian Sallow (Slytherin), Natsai Onai (Gryffindor), and Poppy Sweeting (Hufflepuff), with whom players can interact during specific missions, it seems that there may have been plans for additional companions.

Lines of dialogue have been uncovered that hint at the possibility of NPCs accompanying players on their adventures outside of their personal missions.

While this wouldn’t have been entirely out of the ordinary, as the open world of Hogwarts Legacy presents opportunities for extra assistance, such as with enemy camps of goblins and Ashwinders, it’s exciting to consider the possibility of companions joining players on their entire journey.

The unique dialogue found for the three aforementioned characters suggests that there was interaction beyond their personal chains of missions, but it has not been confirmed by the development team.Regardless, fans are hopeful that this is a feature that may be included in the highly anticipated sequel.

As we eagerly await the future of the Hogwarts Legacy franchise, it’s clear that there is still much more magic to be explored in the wizarding world.
