Jon Spector, the Vice President and commercial leader of the popular Overwatch franchise, has announced his departure from Blizzard Entertainment. After a six-year tenure with the company, Spector took to Twitter to share the news of his departure, which is scheduled for later this month.
While Spector did not reveal the reason behind his decision to leave, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work on the Overwatch franchise, which he described as the highlight of his career.
Spector praised Team 4 for their talent and passion, and assured fans that the upcoming Overwatch 2 is in good hands with Aaron Keller as game director and Jared Neuss as executive producer.
He expressed his appreciation for the Blizzard community and promised to continue sharing memes and highlights of Moira as a DPS on Twitter.

Spector started his journey at Blizzard as a senior director for the Overwatch League. He was later promoted to head of the OWL and became the face of the league for about a year.
Afterward, he was again promoted to business leader and Vice President of the Overwatch franchise. Spector played a significant role in the success of the Overwatch League, and his contributions to the franchise have been invaluable.
It remains unclear what Jon Spector’s next move will be, but his experience and expertise in the industry are sure to make him a valuable asset to any organization. Meanwhile, Overwatch fans eagerly await the release of Overwatch 2 and are hopeful that it will meet and exceed their expectations.
