Ubisoft has announced that it will be releasing four games on Steam, expanding its reach beyond the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect.

The games include Far Cry 6, Riders Republic, Rainbow Six Extraction, and Monopoly Madness, and will be available on Steam from May 11th through to June 22nd.

This marks a significant move for the French video game company, which began shifting its focus to the Epic Games Store in early 2019 with the release of The Division 2.

While Ubisoft Connect was still required to launch games purchased on Epic Games Store or Steam, it seemed as though Ubisoft had abandoned its Steam users for good.

However, in November 2022, Steam data hinted that Ubisoft might be changing course, and soon after, the company released Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Roller Champions, and Immortals Fenyx Rising on Steam. This was followed by a second wave of releases, including Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, The Division 2, and Watch Dogs: Legion.

Now, with the release of Far Cry 6, Riders Republic, Rainbow Six Extraction, and Monopoly Madness on Steam, Ubisoft is showing that it is committed to expanding its reach across all platforms.

However, it should be noted that some features, such as achievements, may not be available on Steam, but will still be accessible through Ubisoft Connect.

Overall, this is great news for fans of Ubisoft games who prefer to play on Steam, as they will now have access to a wider selection of titles.

With Ubisoft’s continued commitment to expanding its presence on Steam, it will be interesting to see what other titles the company will release on the platform in the future.
