Grab Metro: Last Light for Free This Week on Steam

Seize the chance to experience the impressive follow-up to Metro 2033, a standout shooter of its era.

Metro: Last Light

In honor of its 10th anniversary, 4A Games is offering their acclaimed sequel, Metro: Last Light, for free on Steam from May 18-25. Once you add the game to your Steam library during this time, it will be yours to keep forever.

Continuing Artyom’s Post-Apocalyptic Journey

Metro: Last Light picks up where the first game in the series, Metro 2033, left off. Players continue to follow the story of Artyom as he struggles to survive in the treacherous tunnels beneath a post-apocalyptic Russian city.

The sequel refines the mechanics of the original game, maintaining the challenging first-person action while enhancing it with more polished gunplay and streamlined mechanics. Even today, Metro: Last Light’s impressive visuals stand the test of time.

If you’ve never had the opportunity to play Metro: Last Light, or if it’s been sitting in your backlog for years, now is the perfect time to dive into one of the best shooters of its era, completely free on Steam.

The Metro Series Continues

Metro: Exodus, the most recent entry in the series, was released in 2019. 4A Games is reportedly working on a sequel, which was confirmed in 2019 by the author of the book series upon which the games are based (who is also currently a wanted man in Russia for speaking out against the war in Ukraine).

According to a report earlier this year, the fourth installment in the game series is progressing well and could potentially be unveiled this year.
