Assassin’s Creed Mirage: A Shorter But Packed Journey Awaits

Ubisoft reveals their approach to gameplay duration in the upcoming Assassin's Creed installment

Assassin's Creed Mirage

Assassin’s Creed Mirage aims to recapture the essence of the original assassin adventure, stepping away from the sprawling open worlds seen in recent titles like Odyssey and Valhalla. Instead, Ubisoft focuses on delivering an exciting story with a less extensive season.

Playing Time in Assassin’s Creed Mirage: 20 to 30 Hours

In an interview with French YouTuber Julien Chièze, Fabian Salomon, the lead producer at Ubisoft, sheds light on the gameplay duration players can expect in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

During internal testing, most players completed the main story in around 20 hours, assuming they were in a hurry. However, for completionists who leave no stone unturned, the gameplay time extended to approximately 25 to 30 hours.

Salomon emphasizes Ubisoft’s commitment to understanding players’ experiences through extensive internal playtesting. Based on the latest tests, the average gameplay time lands between 20 and 23 hours, ensuring a balanced and engaging adventure.

A Shift in Focus: Quality over Quantity

Compared to the nearly 60 hours it took to complete the main story in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Assassin’s Creed Mirage opts for a more concise and focused gameplay experience. By prioritizing quality over sheer length, Ubisoft aims to offer an immersive journey without overwhelming players, especially with other exciting releases like Starfield and Forza on the horizon.

As the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage approaches, players can anticipate a compelling and captivating journey through the assassin’s world. With a more condensed gameplay duration, Ubisoft seeks to strike a balance between storytelling and player engagement, promising a memorable experience in a shorter time frame.
