The expedition kicks off with a voyage across the Indigo Deep, where players will be summoned to assist a visitor from the New World in a significant rite of succession. Rumors abound that this adventure may even lead to the legendary gates of a city of gold.

Even Further Expanded Free Trial
As a generous gesture to newcomers, Final Fantasy XIV is expanding its Free Trial offering. With the launch of Patch 6.5 later this year, players will gain access to the third expansion, Stormblood, and all the way up to level 70.
Aspiring adventurers can now try out the Red Mage and Samurai jobs with no playtime limitations. The popularity of the Free Trial has grown so much that, in the words of a famous film, it seems they’ll need a “bigger meme” to accommodate all the eager newcomers.
