Originally set to premiere on April 12, 2024, the film’s debut has been postponed. The new date for eager fans to mark on their calendars is December 13 of the following year.

This alteration stems from a sequence of adjustments initiated by the rescheduling of another anticipated movie. Legendary Entertainment’s ‘Dune: Part Two,’ initially planned for release on November 3 of this year, has been pushed to March 15, 2024. Consequently, this shift had a domino effect on other releases.
A film from the same financiers and producers, ‘Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire,’ which was previously slated for that date, also had to be moved, now finding its place on April 12, 2024. These changes were necessitated due to the ongoing actors strike, affecting the availability of the cast for promotional efforts.
As ‘The War of the Rohirrim‘ settles into its new December slot, it will face off against Sony’s reboot of ‘The Karate Kid.’ This clash of cinematic contenders is sure to capture the attention of moviegoers.

The animated feature unfolds 183 years before the events depicted in the original ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy by New Line Cinema.
