Bethesda Game Studios has dropped some crucial information in a recent blog post. Let’s start with the release timing for those lucky players who will be diving into Starfield through the early access phase.

For those who pre-ordered or opted for the premium editions – including the premium edition, premium edition upgrade, or the Constellation Edition – the interstellar adventure awaits on September 1, and possibly even sooner. If you’ve got the standard edition, though, your voyage begins on September 6.

The global release times are illustrated in the image below, but if you’re situated in the Eastern or Pacific time zones, you’ll be able to launch into Starfield at 5pm PT/8pm ET on August 31. For folks in the British Summer Time (BST) zone, that translates to 1am on September 1, and for our friends in the Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) zone, it’s 10am on September 1.

The decision to cap the frame rate at 30 FPS was made to ensure a consistent and smooth gameplay experience.
