Street Fighter 6 Unveils A.K.I.’s Dynamic Moves in First Look

Catch a glimpse of A.K.I., the latest character in Street Fighter 6, as she showcases her unique abilities in a new trailer.

Street Fighter 6

Capcom, the company behind Street Fighter, introduced a new character named A.K.I. to their Street Fighter 6 lineup a month ago. Now, players have the chance to witness her moves and skills firsthand in an exciting new trailer.

You might find A.K.I.’s stylized name a bit familiar, and there’s a reason for that. She is a student under the guidance of the master F.A.N.G., who fans of the series might remember from Street Fighter 5.

In the new World Tour mode, gamers will come across A.K.I. in the intriguing location of Tian Hong. Here, they can uncover more about her connections to the ominous Shadaloo organization. Much like her mentor F.A.N.G., A.K.I.’s fighting style revolves around her unique snakelike techniques that make use of her venomous, sharp nails.

Moves that Pack a Bite

A.K.I.’s moves are as distinct as her character. Her “Serpent Lash” move lets her attack foes from a distance, with her nails extending like a chain. “Nightshade Pulse” involves a poisonous bubble, while “Sinister Slide” allows her to swiftly slide across the screen to avoid incoming threats.

Her level three “Super Art,” known as “Claws of Ya Zi,” is particularly intriguing—it involves piercing an opponent’s pressure points with poison to trigger an explosive outcome.

A.K.I. is set to make her entry into the game on September 27th. But even before that, starting from September 1st, players can acquire the “A.K.I. Arrives Fighting Pass,” offering themed items and cosmetics. A.K.I. follows the footsteps of Rashid, who was the first post-launch character in Street Fighter 6. And as the Year 1 Character Pass continues, players can look forward to the introduction of Ed and Akuma.

So, if you’re an avid Street Fighter enthusiast, get ready to embrace the excitement and fresh challenges that A.K.I. will bring to the game when she joins the roster later this month.
