Turtle Power Meets Hadoken: Street Fighter 6 Welcomes TMNT Crossover

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Bring Action-Packed Crossover to Street Fighter 6

Hold on to your joysticks, because a radical mashup is in the works! The famous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are joining forces with the legendary Street Fighter 6. This exciting crossover is continuing the TMNT’s streak of popping up in various universes, and now they’re stepping into the world of Capcom’s iconic fighting game.

Following the recent release of the new TMNT movie in cinemas, our beloved heroes in a half shell are ready to throw down in Street Fighter 6.

Believe it or not, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are making their way to Street Fighter 6, much like they did in Injustice 2. This crossover extravaganza is set to kick off on Tuesday, August 8th. And guess what? This isn’t the only crossover that’s been cooking lately. The announcement comes hot on the heels of the Minecraft TMNT reveal just days ago.

Dressed to Impress: TMNT in Street Fighter 6

Unlike Injustice 2’s approach of introducing the Turtles as entirely new characters, Street Fighter 6 is taking a slightly different route. Capcom promises a wide array of “TMNT gear and emotes, new titles, TMNT stamps, in-game device wallpapers, camera frames in photo mode, and even the ability to transform your World Tour and Battle Hub custom avatar into your favorite turtle.”

While it might be a bummer that your beloved Turtle won’t come with a unique move set in Street Fighter 6, I’m of the belief that costumes offer a fantastic opportunity.

Imagine Leonardo unleashing a Tatsumaki kick, or Mikey channeling his inner Chun-Li with Lightning Legs. Maybe even Zangief could squeeze into one of these awesome costumes, who knows?

Total Freedom: Your TMNT Avatar Awaits

If not, don’t fret! You can still deck out your custom avatar with any of these moves, cloaking them in the guise of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Considering I’ve already seen Fred Durst and Ryan Gosling casually hanging out at an arcade table in the Battle Hub, it’s clear that anything is possible in the evolving world of Street Fighter 6.

This crossover seems to deliver the kinds of bonuses you’d typically find in an SF6 battle pass. The exact cost of these exciting features when they launch this week remains a mystery. Yet, one thing stands out: the highlight is undoubtedly the awe-inspiring costumes.

TMNT isn’t the only eye-catching news in the realm of Street Fighter 6 lately. A rather NSFW mod managed to sneak its way into a tournament, briefly revealing a nude Chun-Li before swiftly being cut away from. And nope, we don’t have the link to it – but that’s a story for another day!
