In a bid to keep the player base informed, Ed Boon took to the internet to share the patch notes, promising the community that they will “kontinue to listen” to feedback and maintain open lines of communication as they persist in refining the game. However, some fans couldn’t help but notice Boon’s penchant for substituting ‘k’ for ‘c,’ perhaps as a playful nod to the franchise’s iconic ‘K’ in “Kombat.”

General Gameplay Adjustments
- Corrected move list inaccuracies.
- Addressed localization issues.
- Fixed an issue where Player 2 could push opponents further away during specific combo sequences.
- Resolved a problem that prevented buffered Kombo Attacks Strings and buffered two-in-one-cancelled non Enhanced Special Moves from executing when a Kameo Ambush attack with specific timing was performed.
- Fixed unbreakable attacks for Stryker and Sektor.
Character Specific Adjustments
- Ashrah: Fixed the issue causing Crushing Knee (Towards + Back Kick) to pass through opponents during attacks.
- Goro (Kameo): Stomp now takes higher priority when it hits on the same frame as his partner’s attacks.
- Havik: Decaying Guard (Back Punch, Front Punch) and Flesh Wound (Back Punch, Back Punch) no longer auto-face.
- Jax (Kameo): Ground Pound is now higher priority when it hits on the same frame as his partner’s attacks.
- Kung Lao: Kung-Kussion will now auto-face when executed on the landing frame after jumping over an opponent.

Additionally, the studio has addressed issues with certain attacks not functioning correctly against high parry special moves for various characters, such as Ashrah, Baraka, General Shao, Johnny Cage, Kenshi, Kung Lao, Li Mei, Nitara, Raiden, Rain, Reptile, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, Sindel, Sub-Zero, and Tanya.
Beyond the patch, Mortal Kombat 1 fans have caught a glimpse of the game’s upcoming Invasion seasons through leaks online. Invasion mode is set to transform the fighting game into a Mario Party-esque board game, allowing players to explore an area with branching paths and unique challenges tied to a seasonal story.
While the first season is already available, dataminers have uncovered information about the next four seasons: Blood (Nitara), Thunder (Raiden), Hybrid (Mileena), and Cryomancer (Subzero).
