Spider-Man 2’s Latest Patch: A Leap Forward in Bug Fixes

Swinging into Stability: Spider-Man 2 Update Tackles Game-Breaking Issues

Insomniac Games has released a new update for the PlayStation 5 exclusive, “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,” aimed at squashing some game-breaking bugs and enhancing the overall gameplay experience.

The update, identified as version 1.001.005, introduces a series of fixes that range from improving character durability to addressing issues that could previously halt game progress.

One of the key improvements is to the character MJ, who will now be tougher on higher difficulty settings, ensuring she doesn’t get “defeated in one hit.” This adjustment addresses a significant difficulty spike that players encountered, where even on normal settings, MJ could only withstand two crossbow bolts before being downed.

The patch also resolves a peculiar bug where Spider-Man could “lose the ability to jump,” which is quite the predicament for a character known for his acrobatic prowess. Additionally, the update eliminates a critical issue where abandoning a mission could corrupt the save file, rendering it unusable.

Insomniac Games has also taken steps to improve the game’s stability and performance, ensuring that “Spider-Man 2” runs smoothly for players. This includes fixes for various collision issues, problems with the HUD, and ensuring that mission triggers operate correctly.
