The Hollywood Reporter recently revealed that Yeun will no longer be part of the “Thunderbolts” cast, a Marvel Phase 5 project. Yeun’s involvement, never officially confirmed by Marvel, was a topic of speculation since February 2023. Fans had eagerly anticipated his potential portrayal of a key character, possibly the super-powered Sentry. These casting dilemmas come at a time when Marvel’s cinematic slate is already sparse, largely due to last year’s industrial action. “Deadpool 3” is the only Marvel movie set for a 2024 release, with other projects, including “Thunderbolts,” pushed to 2025 or later. On the television front, only three Marvel shows are confirmed for Disney Plus this year, starting with “Echo” in early January.
