NVIDIA sets a new benchmark in gaming and creative performance with the launch of its RTX 40 SUPER series at CES 2024.

RTX 40 SUPER series

In a significant advancement for gamers and creators, NVIDIA has introduced its RTX 40 SUPER series at CES 2024. This latest lineup, consisting of the RTX 4080 SUPER, 4070 Ti SUPER, and 4070 SUPER, brings unparalleled performance enhancements and more competitive pricing, reshaping the landscape of gaming and digital content creation.

The RTX 40 SUPER series, leveraging NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace architecture, promises groundbreaking improvements in shader, ray tracing, and AI performance. With up to 52 shader TFLOPS, 121 RT TFLOPS, and 836 AI TOPS, these GPUs are not just a step but a leap forward in computational capability. The incorporation of AI Tensor Cores marks a turning point, enhancing AI-driven tasks in gaming and creative applications.

The RTX 4080 SUPER emerges as the flagship model, boasting capabilities that make it 1.4x faster than the RTX 3080 Ti. It is particularly notable for its proficiency in 4K and ray-traced gaming, aided by features like 836 AI TOPS, DLSS Frame Generation, and advanced AI workloads support. This GPU, priced at $999 and releasing on January 31, offers more cores and faster memory, making it a superior choice over its predecessor at a more attractive price.

Targeted towards high frame rate enthusiasts, especially at 1440p resolutions, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is a balanced blend of performance and value. It surpasses the RTX 4070 Ti with more cores and a 16GB frame buffer, achieving a memory bandwidth of 672 GB/sec. Priced at $799 and launching on January 24, this model is 1.6x faster than the RTX 3070 Ti, with DLSS 3 boosting performance up to 2.5x.

The RTX 4070 SUPER, set to launch on January 17 for $599, offers a 20% increase in cores over the RTX 4070. This makes it faster than the RTX 3090 while consuming significantly less power. The addition of DLSS 3 further elevates its gaming performance.

Alongside the hardware launch, NVIDIA also announced the integration of RTX and DLSS technologies in fourteen new games, increasing the total to over 500. Notable mentions include “Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition,” “Pax Dei,” and “Diablo IV,” all set to leverage DLSS 3 for enhanced performance.
