Vin Diesel recently confirmed the next Fast & Furious film will likely be the saga’s last, teasing an epic, emotional farewell for the blockbuster franchise.
In an Instagram post following a story meeting with writers, Diesel described the team’s excitement for the “finale” as “incredibly powerful.” He thanked fans, whose passion has fueled the series’ success and evolution over two decades.
Diesel promised the ending will be a “celebration” of the “incredible family” built through the films about outlaw street racers turned saviors of the world. While not all good things last forever, he hopes to deliver a finale that makes fans proud.
The next installment, currently dubbed Fast X, is slated for release in 2023. Director Louis Leterrier has hinted it could spawn two sequels, but Diesel’s post suggests the franchise will conclude with just one more chapter.
