Strong hints suggest a new Borderlands game is secretly in development at Gearbox Software. In a recent interview about the franchise’s upcoming film adaptation, studio CEO Randy Pitchford gave a telling non-denial when asked about his favorite series entry.
Though he avoided directly acknowledging Borderlands 4, Pitchford proclaimed “we’re working on something” that is Gearbox’s “greatest” project yet. He said an announcement will come “when the time is right,” but his effusive praise indicates a major new installment is indeed underway.
